{week-a-boo} point + shoot..

another weekend been and gone and another tired me.. 

the weekend started off with giving back the bunnies from next door that came and had a little holiday with us during the week.. the kids loved having a couple of furry beings around.. you could quite safely say zaccy was on the obsessed side..

saturday was spent at home doing the have-to's.. ella helped with the washing by making the biggest ice cream ever and scrubbed the table dressed in her fairy outfit so she looked like cinderella... we're still trying to readjust to daylight savings.. the kids don't quite get the fact that just because the birds and the sun are not asleep yet doesn't mean its not bed time.. ah well.. sleeping has never been a good thing around here.. 

once the kids hit the pillows, i quickly snuck in a couple of hours of sleep before heading off to pick up my friend t and her hubby from kuitpo forest after walking 50km in the trailblazer challenge during the night.. it was a little sad for me as i really wished i was there with them doing the walk, but family circumstances got in the way again.. maybe next year.. so proud of them though and i guess i was glad i could have been a part of it even if it was just picking them up and driving their sore bodies home at 4am.. they are such an amazing couple and such an inspiration.. love you guys!! 

sunday morning i snuck in an extra hour sleep after getting home so now i had a total of about three hours to take the day on with.. we headed out to a third birthday party, which was at the little train rail.. we got to ride little trains and hang out with some old friends.. zac and dad much preferred watching the trains than riding them, so they got to spend a bit of time bonding, which was just gorgeous as zaccy often misses out on daddy time as daddy's little girl seems to take over..

we weren't productive in the organisation department this week.. but i think our family really needed to get out and have a bit of a break this weekend..

The sparkly paints, fairy stickers, popsicle sticks and sequens came out this week.. Ella is gearing up for her fairy dancing which starts this week so its been a girly sort of week.. she danced to the fairies, dressed up like a fairy and the art was very much reflected her excitement for all things fairy..

date night..

ok.. i missed date night last week and happy monday this week.. it's been a bit busy round here of late.. but our organising a workspace date night/day has kind of continued and will so again this weekend.. so i think tonight it might just be a quiet one cuddled up on the couch watching better homes and gardens..

at my house..

It's all about organisation at our place at the moment.. it looks like a small bomb has hit outside as everything is getting a good scrub and a new home.. me being the 'king pin' as my hubby refers to me.. I am in charge of the family and all the happenings around here. This also means organising everyone and running a huge to-do list.. hmmm..

Well seeing there are four beings in the house and only one 'king pin' I need everything on paper as the baby brain has now turned to mumma brain and not much stays in there.. the sleep deprivation doesn't help either.. but hey.. that's life..  

I picked up some clip boards at officeworks the other day and they now have a new home in our laundry with a personal to-do list for each being.. I have school enrolments, activity enrolments, doctor checkups, dentist visits etc all listed and as they get booked they go into the diary.. the system is working great so far.

I think a few more of these will need to make their way to my house for when my little workspace is all set up for orders, invoices etc..

week-a-boo.. a sneak peak into our weekend

Our weekend is still going as we have a public holiday here in South Australia.. meaning me and the monkeys have more adventures to get up to today.. 

The traditional Saturday and Sunday started off with our friday evening really.. We had the daily evening bath.. with the daily shampoo hair styling and I realised just how long my bubba boy's hair was getting.. hmm time for a hair cut.. I love his hair a little longer but there is no way I can get to it to make it look decent and longer.. soo...

Out came the clippers.. my beautiful blond locks.. gone.. but a beautiful baldy head instead.. maybe i'll try a longer attachment next time.. he's looking a little bald.. 

We got the good old huggies tents out too..  and a lot of the teddies and dolls made their way out to join us on our picnic.. Ella got to go to bunnings with dad.. which is always a highlight as they always manage to sneak in a face painting session.. its almost a tradition now.. what animal will Ella come back as?? Note to oneself though little lady.. sunscreen on top of a masterpiece does not work the best.. 

Again our weekend was about the need-to's, as we are trying to sort out the big boys garage so that he can move out of our little outdoor room and i cant take over it and use it as my workspace.. i had the bright idea of converting our shed into a studio earlier in the year.. but with the lack of power and the distance from the house.. the idea has now been scrapped till the kids grow up a little.. So in the process the kids had a heap of huge boxes to play in and i got to get the good-ol ikea tool set out and put together the big boys christmas present from last year.. 

Another highlight for me and i guess Zaccy was his intense interest in wanting to finally ride the trike.. he had a good go on the big red trike and managed to walk with it between his legs.. but unfortunately his sisters old ladybug trike is just going to have to do till you grow up a little buddy.. 

Since Zaccy's operation he is talking.. chatting.. singing and the works.. so hearing him talk is just putting the biggest grin on my face known to man.. my favourite from this weekend is bee-ba.. meaning bean bag.. he just loves his bean bag!!

its been a glorious weekend here and we got our huggies tents out.. so i snuck in a couple of little lie downs on the grass with my head in the tent (thats the only way i could fit in comfortably).. i had my iphone with me so here are literally a few point + shoot snaps..

my little model..

I had a day to myself with my bubba boy last week.. He's getting to the stage where he wants to pick out clothes and with a little bit of guidance as far as weather appropriateness goes, I let him go for it.. I stocked up both Ella's and Zaccy's drawers with some kasiabear short sleeve tee's seeing the weather is warming up slowly.. 

When Zaccy opened his drawer to raid its contents, his eyes lit up when he saw the plane tee and the bike tee.. I guided him towards the long sleeve option as the day wasn't too warm but he carried around the bike tee till his plane one got adequately messy for me to take it off and let him wear the bike tee.

I love making kids clothes because of the satisfaction it gives my creative side.. but seeing the smiles on my kids faces when they get a new tee with the design they requested, just melts my heart. Ella is now old enough to choose her own colour combos and also the fabric her skirts are made out of too, which is even more fun for both of us.

Keeping on the art supply stash theme.. here is another little find.. a set of scissors (kid safe supposedly) they cut little wiggles, zigzags etc.. I got these from Ella's kindy fundraiser catalogue for under $10 for the set.. bargain. She just loooves them but my magazine stash is shivering. I think we will be making our own gift tags for christmas with these little guys.. The possibilities are endless..

Its the school holidays here in SA.. and I'm sure your art supply stashes are being raided by the kids.. what's cool in your stash?? what have your kiddies been up to these holidays??

The weather here is absolutely glorious at the moment.. so just a quick stop inside to share one little find for the week while the kettle is boiling.. these would make fantastic christmas pressies and what more.. there is an option to put your own text on the mug.. i love coffee.. and i love mugs and i love white and i love text.. oh my.. i love these mugs!!

my creative space...

I am putting up with a very very sore back today, shooting pains down my leg and the works, so trying to get a few little things ticked off the to-do list till my magical chiro makes my body work again.. 

With a couple of wholesale orders and over 30 t-shirts to print in the next week.. I am tweaking my printing board a little and putting in these new clamps which have been waiting patiently for me for a couple of months now.
