{quick three..} a little break..

Hi guys.. sorry about the no-show last week.. It's madbears around here at the moment as its all systems go on the kasiabear studio as well as some really cool happenings in the pipelines for kasiabear. In saying this, the poor blog gets a bit of a rest. I'll have a few weeks off from the {quick three..} linkup and hoping to be back in July.

Looking forward to sharing all the exciting news soon!!

{snippets} of our weekend..

Another lovely family weekend.. We hung out with no plans on sat. All the craft boxes and playdough were out as it was a little miserable outside..

Sunday we spent most of the day at a friends place to celebrate a 5th birthday.. Animal Capers bought along a snake, lizard, possum, ferret, squirrel glider, a frogmouth owl and a baby crocodile.. And yep.. Mumma was required to hold the snake and crocodile.. Oh the things I do fir these monkeys..

Zac was completely in his element.. He's been watching documentaries on snakes and crocodiles over kids telly for the past few weeks, so now he got to see and touch the real deal..

Ella in her usual self.. Sat back and watched. She patted a couple of the animals and although she didn't jump into all the action, felt ok. The fear of all things living other than humans is finally gone. So although I would have much preferred to do the same with the snake and croc I pushed myself a little too.

{this week i'm grateful for..} my little guy..

We had another trip to the hospital this week with my little bear. He needed a new set of grommets so no big dramas, but I still hate the whole anaesthetic bit. I hate holding him while he dozes off and then leaving him. He was in and out in less than 10minutes and within 10minutes of getting out of theatre, he grabs his balloon and the teddy he got from a nurse and stands up and goes "Let's go ma".

He truly is a trooper and makes this mothering gig so sweet. He takes whatever comes his way and goes with it. He doesn't whinge for no reason. He just is. He's my little rock when the big rock isn't around and reassures me that I'm doing alright as a mum. He lets me know he trusts me and makes me feel like a queen.

So this week I am so incredibly grateful for my little guy and his ability to make a potential icky situation into just another thing that needed to be done. I'm grateful that this little guy rather than whining, managed to entertain all the kids in the waiting room, make the nurses smile and laugh and made me feel brave.

I love you my sweet!!

{this week i'm grateful..} art supplies..

An abundance of artwork has either entered our house or has been created at our place this week. I just love kids art and am so grateful for the abundance of art supplies my kiddos have access to.

{quick three..} kitchen appliances..

Kitchen appliances.. I don't know about you but most of mine are hidden away out of sight.. I Don't like benchtop clutter, infact the idea of things living permanently on my benchtop has put me off buying a lot of applianced I'd really like to have.

A couple of years ago I gave in and bought the Thermomix and yessum, it is all its cracked up to be. It makes risotto in 17minutes without you having to stir it once, it makes the best bluberry sorbet in summer and it makes perfect lumpless custard each and every time. Big breath.. and it lives on the bench top.

This year I have decided to take the plunge and get a coffee machine which too will have to live on the benchtop.. eeek. So in saying that it most certainly has to do the job and look good. Each time I embark on the search I get overwhelmed and give up, but I think I have finally found my match.. I need to do a little bit more homework as to what the quality of coffee is like but visually.. Oh me, Oh my.. this guy looks nice!!

So this week the quick three are the appliances that are allowed to stay on the bench top.. and the ONLY three!!

{1} Coffee Machine..
{2} Thermomix..
{3} Kettle..

What are your benchtop buddies? Or what are your most used kitchen appliances??

{snippets..} of our weekend..

We had an action packed weekend as far as the backyard goes.. It included digging out our, not so successfu,l yet incredibly adorable potatoes..

The heavy machinery was out to help us dig out soil.. level and put in a retaining wall..

Ear muffs were required at times..

And a little decorating by ducktail hunky..

How was your weekend?

{quick three..} children's books..

Running a little late with the link up.. sorry guys..
The below books are my very favourite books I love reading to my kids as a mumma.. I cannot remeber books from my childhood as I grew up in Poland and with moving to another country at the age of 8 kind of threw the memory banks of the little me out the window. So I'm kind of like a kid in an English speaking country now and all the books I get for my kids are my first experiences as well... My hubby laughs at the fact that I've never heard "Fox in Socks" as a kid.. Anyhoo.. here they are..

Little Big Tree..

{this week i'm grateful for..} my lifestyle..

{image source}
We've had a crazy couple of months of birthdays and birthday parties.. the big boy got man-flu (and we all know how that goes), but its calming down and getting back to norm.. our norm. This week has been all about getting us back on track as far as paperwork, reorganising the house, making plans for the big overhaul of the back room and back shed. So it was head down, bum up for me.

This week I'm so grateful for my lifestyle.. it's different but a nice kind of different..
{1} I'm grateful for having a varied lifestyle that I can choose my own path in..
{2} I'm grateful for not having to work for someone else..
{3} I'm grateful for being able to be there for my kids when they need me..
{4} I'm grateful for having friends who are studying massage and want to clock up their practical hours on me.. omg.. I needed that massage this week.
{5} I'm grateful for having a space I can work on turning into a little studio so that I can work from home.. I love this little space above.. cuuute!!
{6} I'm grateful that although the big boy has man flu.. the kiddos give me a super amount of cuddles to make me feel loved.. they've even both been sleeping in our bed with me the last few nights.. It's like having two little wheat bags on either side of me..

What are you grateful for.. hop over to Maxabella Loves and join in..

{quick three..} chocolate..

{image source}
Easter has many different meanings to people but I'm betting there was a good amount of chocolate around your house nonetheless... We did the easter egg hunt on Sunday morning and the kids indulged in a fair bit of chocolate that day. Then all the eggs were put up high in their baskets and dad was allocated the 'keeper of the eggs'. In other words.. mum shed's all responsibility and refuses to deal with whinging and there's no point cause she's too short to reach them anyway.

I am a self confessed chocolate addict, you seriously cannot leave chocolate lying around or I will eat it. I have absolutely no self control, so for my purposes the 'out of sight and reach' method works well.

My absolute irresistible favourite brands are..

{hersheys} peanut butter cups
{baci} perugina
{lindt} milk chocolate.. or the orange

What brands are your favourite?? What can't you walk past.. or are you like those one in a gazillion people like my hubby who doesn't touch the stuff.. yep that's why I married him :o)
