{tee design competition..} winners..

OK.. so this was a really and I mean REALLY tough job deciding on the top 3 tee designs. So many gorgeous drawings came in, and each and every one of them put a huge smile on my face. I loved watching the kiddos draw up a storm at the Mummy Tree Markets in our little kids corner. Like every competition though.. there can only be one winner and a couple of runner up prizes.. so without putting it off any longer... drumroll......

the top design
(as narrowed down by me and voted on by kasiabear fans on facebook)
is
the skipping girl by madelyn sparrow

Madelyn wins a $50 gift voucher to spend in the kasiabear online store
as well as her winning design printed on a tshirt.

the two runners up
(as narrowed down by me and voted on by kasiabear fans on facebook)
are
the green monster by thomas hurcombe

&
the lil bird by olivia quinn
both thomas and oliva win a tshirt with their design printed on it.

and although I didn't pick the following tee as one of the 3 winners
the super special little cherub will still receive a tee with her design on it..
why.. cause she's my lil girl.. my little ella bella.
i was super proud of her efforts and just had to share.

the little fairy dancing in the rainbows by ella
ps.. the little blue bits on the sides are the wings i'm supposed to sew onto the back

OK.. so onto the serious part.. if your child is one of the winners mentioned here, please email me on kasiabeardesign@optusnet.com.au with your child's t'shirt size and your postal address.

Thank you to everyone that entered, I had a heap of fun with this comp and I'm thinking I might just have to introduce an ongoing competition and announce a monthly winner of a tee. Let me think about the details and look out for them in the coming weeks.

{oh so grateful..} for life's roller coaster..

The last few weeks have been pretty amazing... I made the decision to start applying for markets in hopes to get into one before Christmas and in the end, I was accepted to two and incited to one.. My head has been buzzing with excitement and I'm having a ball organizing everything for my stall set-up. If you are in Adelaide.. Here are the dates..

Business is going great and kasiabear designs is being featured in treasuries, on shopping guides and magazines.. its just lovely to see my little idea flourish and be embraced by everyone.. Thank You!!
I've got my 'sew-jo' back and am sewing again which really makes me smile.

So this week I'd like to thank the universe for listening to my dream and allowing it to happen. I'm grateful for my wonderful customers. I'm grateful for super supportive friends and my kiddos which are loving all the fabric and vinyl scraps they get to play with.

I've been a little neglectful of my gorgeous blog.. but I'll try and pop in more often..

Overall.. I'm just happy... busy busy.. but so super happy!!

{new in my shop} personalised name prints..

I've been re-inspired recently with the redecorating of my little man's room and a couple of first birthday celebrations to do a new Name Print design.

These would make a beautiful gift for a little girl who is turning one or for her naming day / christening. Just print the file at your local print shop or on your home printer, pop it into an ikea Ribba frame and you have a one of a kind gift.

If you are a new mumma, you could also use these as name announcement cards.. I'll just adjust the file to be a little smaller.

I offer gift vouchers for my store too if you would love to give one of these prints to someone but are unsure of their colour preferences. Just convo me and I'll arrange an electronic or printed one to be sent out to you.

{new in my shop..} pony tail holders..

I've been creating a lot of goodies of late and focussing so much on this {project studio} that I have forgotten to share on my little blog.. I've been making literally tons and tons of little fabric covered buttons, for a wholesale order, to go into a hair and beauty salon and for a couple of other projects I'm working on.. which I promise to share soon.

I've finally got around to uploading some of my favourites to my etsy store and these little guys will also be available to purchase online through my lovely new stockist Purely4Kids.

I love the colours and textures of this classic collection. Perfect for winter with lovely soft cords and denim and a couple of cute options for summer with a lovely polka-dot dress.

taking the elevator up a few levels..

An elevator pitch?? When is the last time I took an elevator.. at bunnings I think. Like there'll be someone in that elevator to pitch my blog/business to. Well you never know, do you??

about me:
a little bit about me..
my name is kasia pawelski-leach {yep.. that is the short version}

i’m a mumma to a soon to be 4 year old girl and a soon to be 2 year old little man. i live in the foothills of Adelaide, South Australia, with my hubby, my two kamikazes, two birds and a million+1 fish.

i love creating things. i love beautiful things. i love photographs, images and peoples faces. i love the feel of paper and fabric in my hands. i love chocolate and ice-cream. i love the colour red. i love an organised house. i love renovating. i love jeans. i love positive people. i love my overworked, fish obsessed husband and i love, love, love being a mum.

a little bit about my business..
after settling into the role of mumma to two amazing little beings, I wanted to reclaim a bit of the old me.. a designer and a photographer and somehow blend it together with the new me.. a mumma who likes to create unique clothing and artwork for her kiddos.. so.. kasiabear designs was born.

time for a change..

So.. I've been here for a little while now.. in blogland that is. I like it, it's my little spot to do what I like, write what I like and in a way my little world. I've met a number of great people, some amazing and inspiring mums and have made myself quite comfortable really.

But why am I here?? Well.. because I like it!

When you are posed with a question though, and you are not entirely sure how to answer it, or on the other hand you are sure, but what you do and how you answer the question is a little different, you question yourself.. right?? Well, I know I do..

My little kasiabear business has taken off and is moving into some amazing new directions, so a lot of time has been focussed on this area of my life. Needless to say anything other than family and kasiabear at this stage is getting analysed and re-analysed and needs to be justified so that I feel right about dedicating time to it.. and this includes my online pocket of joy.. my blog.

Since I heard about the 31 Days to Build a Better Blog Group starting up on Aussie Mummy Bloggers, I have been umming and aaaaring about joining and participating. I'm trying to justify the time spent on my blog already.. not to mention the added time to build it to be something better.

After a lot of thought and especially after reading the first part of the ProBlogger book I purchased a while back, I realised that I want to stay here and the reason is kind of what this blog originated as.. the juggle between all the things I love, the love and passion I have for all aspects of my life and finding a balance.

Over the next 31 days you will see a change happening on my blog.. it may look entirely different one day when you drop past.. its still me though.. just look for my photo with my kiddo's.

{kasiabear designs} new birth announcement card designs..

A new set of birth announcement cards has just been uploaded to my etsy shop.. I'm loving doing some layouts and playing with some colour on screen again..

..{stripes}..

These are listings for an electronic file which will arrive in your email inbox fully customised as far as:

 ❤ name
 ❤ birth date
 ❤ birth weight
 ❤ birth height
 ❤ parents names
 ❤ your child's photograph
 ❤ colour scheme
 ❤ font

Once you receive your file you can print it on either your home printer, at a photo shop or at a professional printer. The choice is yours, the style of paper you have it printed is completely in your control and the quantity is up to you as well. You can also use the file to email to distant friends and relatives, co-workers and business clients.

Its simple, effective and timeless.

I had these cards professionally printed on firm postcard style paper for both my children when they were born. I printed a fair few more than I thought I needed and have found uses for them for a number of years after their birth.

I've used them as a introduction to the kids personal photo albums, I've used the cards to place on the front of their child care communication book and I've used them as thank you cards for all the wonderful gifts my little bundles received just by writing on the back.

You can also use these designs as invitations for birthday parties, christenings and such by changing the wording.. ie.. emily is turning one.. and then add the party details to the side in smaller font. Party invitation designs will be arriving soon..

Have a beautiful day..

{kasiabear designs} birth announcements & invitations..

It only seems appropriate that I start kasiabear's birth announcement cards and invitation range off with my first baby's birth announcement card design.. in 4 different colour-ways.. These designs are now available to order through kasiabear's etsy store.

..{spots}.. birth announcement card
All birth announcement cards will be customised with your child's name, date of birth, weight, height, and photograph, once complete and you have approved the proof a high resolution file will be emailed to you. You can then print this file at home, at a photo shop or the printers, giving you full control of the final look of your cards, and better still.. if you run out of cards or decide you want to invite more people, you can print more or use the file to email to distant family and friends.
